Lauderdale County 4-H Program

The 4-H Program encourages diverse groups of youth to develop skills to their fullest potential through 4-H Club work, 4-H Honor Club, Judging Team Activities and other special events that 4-H has to offer. 4-Her''s also compete in 50 Project Areas ranging from Arts and Crafts to Wildlife. 4-H Club enrollment in Lauderdale County is approximately 1350 4-Her''s in 54 Clubs.

4-H Honor Club

The 4-H Honor Club is made up of 7th - 12th grade 4-Her''s. Its objective is to get 4-Her''s involved Community Service Projects. Each year 4-Her''s conduct food drives, collect cans and make crafts with resource classes. During the Holiday, they visit Nursing homes. While in the Honor Club, 4-Her''s earn points to become State Honor Club Members and then become All-Stars. Monthly meetings are held at your local Extension Office.

4-H Horse Project Club

The 4-H Horse Project Club provides 4-Her's who are interested in horses to learn basic skills of horse judging in halter and performance classes. Through this program, 4-Her's learn about muscling, conformation and breed characteristics. Riding lessons can also be provided.
